Th postion and outlook of the hotel was excellent within walking distance of Guggenheim, old city and for us the station and river outlook. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful
the coloured windows which are a design feature are not great to live with
Not very friendly staff. Check in and check out with a mess i never seen before. The breakfast was bad, a lot of empty tables but all of them where dirty and no staff. After cleaning one of the tables my self, there where no bread, no juice,,,,,forget it,
The views and location x
Best location for visiting the Guggenheim. Right on the River Nervion and a short walk to the Gugg and the rest of Ensanche. Room was well equipped, stylish, with a large and comfortable bathroom. Though there was no business center available, the front desk was able to print out a boarding ticket.
The bed was uncomfortable, the receptionist unwelcoming, and the overall feel of the hotel was uninviting. There is no atmosphere here, just the basics for sleeping somewhere while you´re visiting Bilbao.
Good location, very quiet district, helpful staff, big room.
The room was not cleaned carefully, it has very disapponted.
Well sited to 'do' Bilbao. Well designed room and bathroom; extremely comfortable and relaxing. Good coffee shop with excellent snack menu. Good breakfast. Parking.
Very friendly staff, quiet room on the rear side, good bed, free wi-fi, close to the center.
Small room, which means that you are close to everything outside (immediate exposure to constant door-slamming from the neighbouring rooms, on one day at least), lights in the room not ideal (there was no 'main light'), for the shower you had to climb into the bathtub through a narrow opening: as a whole, not really a four-star feeling.
At the reception desk any information asked was totally and readily answered or explained with maps or anything or anybody available.
At breakfast I thing the staff could be a bit more kind.
It is close to the Guggeheim museum and many other sites. The hotel has on site-parking. I think we paid 12 euros per day. Once we parked the car we didn't take it out and walked everywhere. It is a wonderful city to explore.
The room was small but for 3 night it wasn't a problem. As an international hotel, I would have expected 1 or 2 English news channels such as the cnn and/or bbc. There weren't any. Only cnn in Spanish.
central location and good facilities with friendly staff
Good secure car parking, as we had to leave some bags in car, it felt very safe.
Lack of TV newscasts for Ireland / Britain
We were kindly upgraded to a room with a balcony and view of the esplanade through coloured orange glass, due to a cancellation. We loved being so close to the Peggy Guggunheim too.
Cost of using the hotel internet was 12 Euros per hour.
Beneath a thin veneer of "funky design" - a bit of coloured glass and a lot of dark surfaces - this a sleek modern hotel typical of any city in the developed world. It is not impersonal - the staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was generously sized, clean, comfortable and well fiitted out. It was excellent value at the discounted rate that we paid but is probably over priced at the maximum room rate. Breakfast was excellent, but you would need to be very hungry to eat enough of the selection for it to be good value. Breakfast is cheaper if you order the night before - don't ask - it makes no sense to us either! The location is perfect - within reasonable walking distance of the Guggenheim, the old city and the commercial centre.
In the bathroom the combination of dark surfaces and "moody" lighting was inefficient - in particular, shaving was difficult. Water pressure in the shower was poor. Watch your footing on the dark coloured steps of stairs in the public areas!
The room was big and I asked for and got a double bed. It was quiet and 5 mins walk to the Guggenheim
I thought the breakfast was expensive so ate at a great little cafe round the corner for half the price
This hotel was ideally located close to the old town and the Guggenheim. Underground parking available, essential in a busy city centre. Modern and spacious....lovely bathroom.
